Who we are
Griscal is a family organization app that helps you manage your pets, family members, home, and vehicles. We are based in Argentina. You can contact us at noreply.griscal@gmail.com.
What data we collect
We collect the following information when you use Griscal:
- Your email address and display name (via Google Sign-In or email registration)
- Data you enter: pets, family members, medications, appointments, expenses, houses, vehicles
- Session cookies to keep you logged in
- Basic usage analytics (pages visited, errors) via Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics
How we use your data
We use your data only to provide the Griscal service:
- Store your records securely in Google Firebase (Firestore)
- Send you confirmation and reminder emails
- Improve the app based on anonymised usage patterns
Cookies
Griscal uses the following cookies:
- __session — strictly necessary. Keeps you logged in. Without it the app cannot function.
- Google Analytics cookies — analytics only. Used to understand how the app is used in aggregate.
Data sharing
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties, except:
- Google Firebase / Firestore — for data storage and authentication
- Google Analytics — for anonymised usage analytics
- Vercel — for hosting and performance monitoring
- PayPal — if you purchase a subscription (payment processing only)
Data security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Session cookies are httpOnly, Secure, and SameSite=Strict. Firebase Security Rules ensure each user can only access their own data.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access all data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Export your data

Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice.
